Nav loves radio, curry, comedy and Coventry. You can find her with her head down in the studio listening to new music, local artists and spoken word poetry. Or running work-shops training people in the local community to interview and make creative radio. She’s worked at BBC Asian Network, BBC Radio 4, BBC World Service, BBC Newsgathering, BBC Local Live Online, BBC Inside Out and now shares her experience where she started, in grassroots, community radio training volunteers. She’s been a supporter of the winning UK City of Culture 2021 for two years – and sits on the Community Engagement team as she’s passionate about social mobility, youth and diversity.
She helped to run BBC Open Doors which trained 30 charities in Coventry in media and communications and gained global coverage with the story of developing Emoji’s for older people: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-coventry-warwickshire-37789947.
